Perinatal Psychology

Pregnancy and parenting can be challenging. Perinatal psychology supports parents through all stages of conception, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum through to the early years of parenting.

Developing her perinatal and post-natal skills at Tresillian Family Care Centre, Susan works closely with Gidget Foundation Australia to support the emotional wellbeing of new and expectant parents across the country experiencing relationship stress, depression, anxiety, Post Natal Depression and Anxiety (PNDA), trauma and grief. Susan’s own lived experience of tragedy while pregnant started her on the path to working in perinatal psychology so she could help others work through trauma, pain and loss.

Mental Health, Anxiety & Depression

Depression and anxiety cause deep distress and can be incapacitating.

Treatment is available and its vital to access qualified and compassionate mental health support when you need it. Working with a psychologist is a great step towards feeling like you can enjoy life again. Susan has more than 14 years of experience in mental health, working with families, children and adolescents in a range of community-based organisations supporting diverse populations and marginalised people experiencing family breakdown, abuse, trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, homelessness, and PTSD.
