You don’t need a referral from a GP or specialist to make an appointment for our Telehealth psychology services. Simply fill out the contact form below and we’ll be in touch to schedule a time for your first session.

3 STEPS TO GET THE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT YOU NEED
How online psychology works with MindLens Psychology
Referral
You can refer yourself using our simple Request an appointment form, or you might be referred to us by your GP.
Video Call
We’ll make an appointment via Zoom so we can get to know each other and agree on the next steps. The meeting details are emailed to you so you can join using your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Therapy
Together, we find ways to address your mental health and emotional needs, adjusting our approach so you have the tools to cope with the curve balls of life. If you’ve been referred by a health professional, we’ll keep them updated on your progress.
FEES
Online psychology fee schedule
Individual Psychology
Session
Full Fee for 50-minutes $240.
Couples Counselling
Session
Standard or Extended Fees from 55 to 90 minutes.
Private Health Fund and Employee Assistance Program
Private Health fund rebates and Employee Assistance Program reimbursement may apply.
Medicare Rebates
Medicate Rebate available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan plus referral.
$96.65
Payment
Payment is expected after each session, via credit card or credit debit card. If you have a valid referral from a GP psychiatrist or paediatrician, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year.
Patients are responsible for tracking sessions used under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Private Health fund rebates may also be available – check with your health fund prior to your first session. An emailed receipt is provided to take to your health insurance provider or EAP provider to claim at work for the full fee payable at the time of your psychological consultation.
A Medicare rebate cannot be claimed at the same time with your private health insurance rebate. Medicare does not cover couples counselling, so it’s best to check with your private health insurer if you have the relevant extras cover.
Fees & Cancellations
The cost of a consultation (usually around 50 minutes) is $240, which is payable at the end of the session debited from your nominated debit/credit . Payments accepted automatic debit via Halaxy using the debit/credit card you provided. When payment is processed you can receive a confirmation email, in addition to the invoice from your practitioner. Your psychologist will discuss with you your eligibility for Medicare or other compensable funding.
